What is Metals.io?
Metals.io is a London-based tokenised commodities platform built on the Tezos blockchain. It enables retail investors to buy, own and trade fractional interests in physical uranium, gold, cobalt, nickel and other critical metals. The platform expanded from uranium.io in 2026 and is backed by industry partners including Archax and Curzon.
Tokenised metals are held with specialist custodians and powered by real-world asset infrastructure. The platform opened cobalt and nickel to retail investors in June 2026.
Regulatory status: tokenised commodities are not FCA-regulated. Investors have no access to FSCS compensation or the FOS.
