    UK Introduction Networks

Introduction network – you invest directly with the founder. These services list companies that are raising money and put investors in touch with their founders. No deal goes through the network: there is no nominee, no due diligence by the platform and no secondary market, and any investment is agreed directly with the company. They are open to investors who self-certify as sophisticated or professional (some also accept high-net-worth investors).

    Introduction Networks FAQs

    What is an introduction network?
A service that lists companies raising money and introduces investors to their founders. Any investment is made directly with the company, outside the network, so the network doesn't hold your money or your shares.
    Are introduction networks FCA-regulated?
Generally not as a service: they rely on exemptions in the Financial Promotion Order for investors who self-certify as sophisticated, professional or high-net-worth. Check each profile for the operator's own status.
    What protection do I get?
Less than on an investment platform. The network doesn't check the deals, hold shares for you through a nominee, or offer a way to sell. You do your own due diligence and deal with the company directly.
