Leap Lending was a UK-based peer-to-peer lending platform that connected borrowers with investors for consumer refinancing loans. The platform positioned itself around a shared responsibility to improve members' mental and financial well-being, differentiating from conventional P2P lenders by emphasising fairer rates and community-driven lending.
Through its refinancing offering, Leap connected borrowers and investors directly in what it described as the most transparent and cost-efficient way — creating a community where borrowers benefited from lower rates on their loans and investors from higher returns on their capital. The platform used technology to make the lending process faster and more efficient.
Borrowers were able to apply using a mobile-optimised online application that took minutes to complete, with credit decisions made in seconds. Investors could register and begin investing in a matter of minutes. The platform offered a convenient, user-friendly experience via both desktop and mobile.
Leap Lending is no longer operational. Investors should be aware that peer-to-peer lending carried, and continues to carry, significant risks including the potential loss of capital. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
