About Strade Base
Strade Base is an app where artists sell a percentage of a track's future streaming royalties, for a period they choose, as "Strade Cards". Buyers receive their share of the royalties collected, after Strade Base deducts up to 20%. They can resell Strade Cards to other users through limit orders on an in-app order book. Buying a Strade Card gives personal property rights in it but no ownership of the music. The operator is Strade Base Ltd. Its terms state that sales are not an offer of securities or financial instruments and may not carry the legal protections those products have, so there is no FSCS or Financial Ombudsman Service cover. Users' money is held by third-party payment and wallet providers, not by Strade Base. A 2.5% fee applies to every deposit. UK users must be 18 or over.
