About Collateral
Collateral (UK) Ltd ran a UK lending platform. In January 2018 the FCA told it to stop all regulated activities, and it does not appear on the FCA Register. The company tried to appoint its own administrator on 28 February 2018. At the FCA's request the High Court overturned that appointment on 27 April 2018 and installed other administrators, and the company later went into liquidation. The FCA brought criminal proceedings against former directors Andrew and Peter Currie for falsely claiming FCA authorisation and misusing investor funds, and they received sentences totalling eight years.
