    Republic Europe (formerly Seedrs)

    Republic Europe (legal name Seedrs Limited, FCA FRN 550317) is the European arm of US marketplace Republic, formed when Republic acquired Seedrs in 2022 and rebranded on 10 July 2024. Launched in 2012, it offers primary equity crowdfunding, tokenised products, debt and VC fund access, and operates Europe's first regulated secondary market for private company shares (live since 2016). Investors hold beneficial title through the Seedrs Nominees structure.

    Crowdcube

    UK equity crowdfunding platform founded in 2011 by Darren Westlake and Luke Lang. Directly authorised by the FCA as a Public Offer Platform (POP). Over £1.5 billion raised for 1,300+ businesses, with 1.7 million registered members. Notable raises include BrewDog, Monzo and Revolut.

    Envestors

    Envestors Limited is a UK fintech and early-stage investment facilitator founded in 2004, directly authorised by the FCA (FRN 523952). It runs a deal-led marketplace (Envestry) connecting high-net-worth and sophisticated investors with unquoted UK companies, and reports having facilitated over £180m across more than 200 companies since inception. Investments are illiquid with no active secondary market.

    Equity Gap

    Edinburgh-based member-led angel syndicate, directly FCA-authorised (FRN 955933), arranging early-stage equity investments in Scottish companies. Founded 2010; c.£70m facilitated (not an audited AUM figure); no pooled fund or secondary market.

    Equity Spark Limited (FRN 665367) is a directly FCA-authorised equity crowdfunding platform focused on UK university spin-outs, science park ventures and early-stage startups. A secondary market is referenced by the firm but not independently verified.

    Eureeca

    Directly FCA-authorised cross-border equity crowdfunding platform (FRN 624555) founded in 2013 by Chris Thomas and Sam Quawasmi. Lists growth-stage equity raises to a global investor base across the UK, UAE and Southeast Asia, with no functioning secondary market.
